Edem Adzogenu

Dr. Edem Adzogenu is the International Advisory and Chair, AfroChampions Initiative. His work straddles the public, private and civic sectors, with an emphasis on innovation, economic development, pan-African integration and social transformation. He has facilitated investment of millions of dollars into community-friendly mining, environmental remediation, large-scale technology platforms and health faclities across Africa and beyond. His global advisory experience ranges from advising African Heads of State, Fortune 500 companies, G7 countries and African regional institutions, to helping resolve disputes over investments in war-threatened regions. He brings to these roles a unique set of skills in crisis management, change management, and complex partnerships formation, often to redesign large and sensitive projects and transactions with a fresh and innovative perspective.

Dr Adzogenu has been at the forefront of ground-breaking initiatives to promote public-private partnerships and a stronger role for the African private sector in regional and continental integration. Under his leadership, AfroChampions, an organisation he co-founded, has grown into an influential regional public-private partnership platform that partners the African Union and several regional institutions to drive African integration and transformation, using innovative toolkits such as technology investing, novel financing instruments and intergovernmental policy design.

Hana Al Rostamani

Hana Al Rostamani is the Group Chief Executive Off­icer at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB). As the only female Group Chief Executive Off­icer of a major UAE-headquartered bank and publicly listed corporation within the UAE, Hana is recognised for being a change leader and for her forward-thinking vision with a focus on embedding a culture of innovation and diversity and inclusion in her leadership.

A seasoned C-suite executive with more than 20 years of experience in banking and financial services, Hana previously served as Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer and Head of Personal Banking at FAB, responsible for leading the transformation of FAB’s consumer bank, instilling a customer and digital-first mindset.

A graduate of George Washington University in the United States, Hana is currently Chair of the Global Council on the Sustainable Development Goals, with a key interest in development goal 7; ‘Aff­ordable and Clean Energy’. She is also a member of MasterCard Advisory and has served as an independent director in Emirates Integrated Telecommunication Company (Du) and vice-chairperson of the Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Services.

Her most recent accolade includes her nomination in Forbes Middle East, being ranked third as featured in ‘Middle East’s Power Business’ Women 2021’ list.

Carlos Alvarez Pereira

Carlos Alvarez Pereira is Vice President of The Club of Rome. He is an Aerospace Engineer and initiated his career as a lecturer and researcher in systems dynamics at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), to get later engaged for many years as an entrepreneur in the digital sector in Spain, Switzerland, France and Germany. He created and chaired until 2020 the Innaxis Foundation to develop research on complex systems and responsible innovation.

He is now devoted to promoting the emergence of a civilizational shift towards equitable wellbeing within a healthy biosphere. Carlos advises the UNESCO Chair of Global Understanding for Sustainability at the University of Jena, and the International Bateson Institute, as well as the Sweet Edge project on transition to 100% renewables in Switzerland. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Montpellier Advanced Knowledge Institute on Transitions (MAK´IT), a fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS), and a lecturer on Circular Economy at EPFL.

Kathrin Amacker

Kathrin Amacker is Board President of Fairtrade Max Havelaar Switzerland and Member of the Chairs Group of Fairtrade International. She is also a Board Member of the Basel University and Board Vice-President of the Merian Iselin Medical Clinic.

Before, Kathrin was Member of the Executive Management Board of Swiss Federal Railways SBB (2013-20) and Telecom Operator Swisscom (2010-13), responsible for Communications, Politics and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Kathrin has been politically active for many years, serving as a Member of Parlament at the National Council of Switzerland, as Board Member of the Swiss Christian Democratic Party and still today as President of the Association Regio Basiliensis.

Louise Amand

Louise leads the education strategy at Capitals Coalition, developing courses and capacity-building opportunities to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to transform our economy.  She accompanies companies on their learning journey for improved environmental and social footprint. In collaboration with the UN Environment Program, she developed vanguard guidance for businesses under the Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity

She has ten years of experience promoting socio-ecological transition by conciliating production, human well-being, and environmental regeneration.  

Previously, she was a consultant for IUCN and a Brazilian Public Water agency, managing Ecosystem Services projects. She has a degree in communication and a Master's in Sustainable Development.

Johan Andresen

Johan H. Andresen is the chair of Ferd, which is owned by him and his two daughters. Ferd is one of the largest private investment companies in Norway, with roots back to 1849. Ferd today consists of six business areas, of which two are dedicated to impact investments.

Andresen is also chair, Council on Ethics, Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global (GPFG), appointed in 2015 and reappointed again in 2019. GPFG is the largest single mandate fund in the world and is invested in more than 8,000 companies around the world. Andresen is also chair, Ferd Social Entrepreneurs. Other directorships include Junior Achievement Europe, Oslo Science City and NMI-Nordic Microfinance Initiative, which he started together with the Government of Norway.

Helle Bank Jorgensen

Helle Bank Jorgensen is the CEO and founder of Competent Boards, offering online climate and ESG programs that draw on the experience of more than 150 renowned board members, business leaders, and investors. Frederic Barge

Frederic is the Managing Director Reward Value Foundation. He is a former KPMG partner and HR executive at large organisations, Frederic has held a number of global positions for businesses and institutions at a management and supervisory level on executive remuneration.

Frederic is a published author and recognised thought leader, who actively participates in sector discussions in the financial services industry in light of the guidelines from regulatory bodies on compensation, with particular expertise in: Executive remuneration, Private Equity compensation programmes, Equity plans, Corporate governance, HR aspects in M&A transactions, Performance assessment.

Stephanie Betts

Stephanie Betts is a lawyer, entrepreneur, and Head of Alliances, Coalitions, and Reporting for Aon’s Climate Team. Stephanie spent almost 20 years working in various positions at M&G, J.P. Morgan, and Citi Bank, and is a senior member of the Governance Committee of Women in Banking and Finance. She is passionate about promoting sustainable food systems, biodiversity, and water security.

Erin Billman

Erin Billman has over 20 years of experience in the private and non-profit sectors. She has focused her career on working with organizations – both for- and non-profit – to best steward the natural world as a strategy toward long-term success. Erin holds an MBA in sustainable business and the environment from Wharton.

Erin has led the Science Based Targets Network since launch. She is also on the board of Earthwatch Institute, a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Futures Council for Nature-Based Solutions, and chair of the World Benchmarking Alliance’s Expert Review Committee for its corporate nature benchmark.

Romina Boarini

Ms. Boarini is the Director of the OECD WISE (Well-Being, Inclusion, Sustainability and Equal Opportunity) Centre, where she promotes the OECD’s position as a leading international institution in the area of well-being, inclusion, sustainability and equal opportunity, and contributes to strengthening OECD research and advice on the Beyond GDP Agenda; policies for well-being; inclusive growth and SDGs.

She was previously a Senior Advisor to the OECD Secretary-General and the Head of the Inclusive Growth Initiative, where she developed the OECD Framework for Action on Inclusive Growth and launched Business for Inclusive Growth, a coalition of 40 multinationals committed to fight inequalities. Before joining the Office of the Secretary-General, Romina worked as Deputy Head of the Well-Being Division of the Statistics Directorate and the Head of the Well-Being and Progress Section, where she was responsible for OECD Better Life Initiative.

Before joining the OECD in 2005, Ms. Boarini was a post-doctoral fellow in Sustainable Development (Chaire EDF-Ecole Polytechnique) and worked as a consultant to the French Ministry of Social Affairs. Ms. Boarini, an Italian national, holds a PhD in Economics from the Ecole Polytechnique (Paris) and her research interests include: Well-being, Poverty, Education and Behavioural Economics.

Rebekah Braswell

Rebekah Braswell is an innovative and strategic leader with a holistic approach towards nature restoration. As founding member and co CEO of Land Life Company, she works with international corporations, local and national governments, nonprofits and foundations to develop large-scale, technology-driven reforestation projects that help mitigate climate change and restore vital ecosystems. Prior to joining Land Life Company, Rebekah was an associate partner with Monitor Group and worked on issues of economic development and food security across Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, Rwanda and Ghana. She holds a BA from Brown University and an MA from Oxford University.

Andrew Bryson

As FBN International’s Chief Impact and Innovation Officer, Andrew leads organization’s Impact, sustainability and digitalization initiatives. Andrew has been a part of FBN since 2014, first as a founding member of the Polaris Committee and, in 2019, helping FBN renew its purpose and visual identity.

Previously, Andrew worked at Saatchi & Saatchi in both the US and Asia where, as Director of Transformation, he led the agency’s transformation and purpose initiatives with clients ranging from social enterprises to the Fortune 100 - including Walmart, AT&T, T. Rowe Price, Coca-Cola, Juma Ventures, and Air New Zealand. He also spent a number of years as the Executive Director of the Beastie Boys' nonprofit The Milarepa Fund, where he led the innovation of various strategies focused on activating youth globally. Most recently, he was the Managing Director at several tech start-ups, including Inmoji, a mobile messaging and client engagement platform.

Maria Castillo

Maria Castillo, PhD, is social and environmental impact director and a senior professor at IESEG School of Management (Paris/Lille, France). Since 2017, she has led the integration of sustainability in all of the school’s activities to ensure that courses, research, and operations address the most pressing social and environmental challenges and needs. In her role, Maria also drives stakeholder engagement and is actively involved in fostering sustainable transformation within the educational and corporate ecosystem. 

Maria previously worked for the Mexican Ministry of Economy and the Mexican Delegation for the OECD in roles related to social and environmental impact and policymaking.

Mathieu Chabran

Mr. Mathieu Chabran is a financial entrepreneur. He co-founded Tikehau Capital in 2004 with Antoine Flamarion, his former colleague at Merrill Lynch. 

Over the past 19 years, Tikehau Capital has considerably diversified its activities and has established itself as a European leader in the alternative asset management industry, with €42 bn of assets under management (at 30 September 2023) and more than 757 employees across 15 offices around the world, with a current market capitalization of €3.4bn.

Leveraging its €3.1bn of shareholders’ equity, Tikehau Capital invests its own capital alongside LPs across four verticals private debt, real estate, private equity and capital markets strategies and seeks to create long-term value for its investors.

Amitava Chattopadhyay

Amitava Chattopadhyay, is a Professor of Marketing, the GlaxoSmithKline Chaired Professor of Corporate Innovation, and Marketing Area Chair at INSEAD. He is a distinguished marketing expert with extensive contributions to reputable journals. Renowned for his expertise in branding, he has authored "The New Emerging Market Multinationals: Four Strategies for Disrupting Markets and Building Brands." Serving as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Marketing and holding positions on various editorial boards, he is a recipient of the Robert Ferber Award and a Fellow of the Nanyang Centre for Emerging Markets. With a diverse academic background, including a PhD from the University of Florida, Amitava imparts his knowledge through courses, executive education, and consultancy for multinational firms.

Aya Chebbi

Aya Chebbi is renowned for her role as the first ever African Union Special Envoy on Youth and for initiating the Youth Silencing the Guns Campaign, the AU's largest youth campaign. She is a celebrated advocate for gender equality, founding the Nala Feminist Collective, and has been recognized in Forbes Africa’s 50 Most Powerful Women. Aya has served on several prestigious boards, including CIVICUS and the World Refugee Council.

Adele Cheli

Adele is currently leading GSK’s global sustainability strategy and partnerships to deliver on GSK’s commitment for a net zero, nature positive, healthier world. Adele is responsible for GSK’s approach to carbon credits, nature strategy (including SBTN, nature protection and restoration activities) and she is very passionate about the connection between climate, nature, and health. She joined GSK in 2013 and held different roles in Procurement, Product Innovation, CEO office and Global Health before joining the Sustainability team. Prior to GSK, Adele had different Marketing roles in Italy and China after obtaining a master degree in international Management from Bocconi University and Fudan University.

Jean-Luc Chenaux

Jean-Luc Chenaux is as senior partner of the Swiss law firm Kellerhals Carrard and co-leads of its Sustainability & ESG desk. He has extensive expertise in corporate governance matters and commercial transactions. He is also professor of corporate law at the University of Lausanne and vice-president of the Swiss Takeover Board. He has large experience as board member and is now chairman of a large insurance company.

Martina Cheung

Martina L. Cheung is President of S&P Global Ratings. She has ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the business, including commercial, analytical, control, and operations functions.Ms. Cheung also serves as the Executive Lead of S&P Global Sustainable1, supporting to drive the enterprise-wide growth strategy for ESG.

Ms. Cheung is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Economic Club of New York, and served on the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) subcommittee on Climate-Related Market Risk. Ms. Cheung has spoken on key industry topics covering ESG, cyber security, technology and diversity in the workforce across public forums that include the World Economic Forum at Davos, the Institute for International Finance membership meeting, and Politico Women Rule, among others.

Ms. Cheung is the Executive Sponsor for the Women’s Initiative for Networking Success (WINS). She also has active involvement in other S&P Global People Resource Groups (PRGs) including Women in Technology (WIT) and S&P Global's LGBTQ+ & Friends PRG (Spectrum). Ms. Cheung’s philanthropic efforts include support for organizations such as Upwardly Global and YWCA.

Isobel Cohen

Isobel Cohen is a Principal at NatureFinance and leads on philanthropy and impact. Before joining NatureFinance, she was the lead fundraiser for Cambridge Zero, the University of Cambridge’s flagship climate initiative, in a portfolio of transformational philanthropy for both climate and nature. Prior to that, she led on fundraising and partnerships in technology, data science, engineering and climate for Cambridge, as well as for Cambridge Conservation Initiative, a globally unique collaboration between the university and ten international conservation organisations. She graduated from Cambridge as a mature student, having spent her twenties performing internationally as a contemporary dancer.

Tim Coles

Tim has spent his entire career working in biodiversity assessment, initially with the forerunner of the UK Environment Agency and then in NGO’s and the private sector.  He founded and ran the Institute of Environmental Assessment (now IEMA which has become the large environmental professional membership organization in Europe).  He then went onto found and run Operation Wallacea which for 25 years has been organizing large teams of scientists to quantify biodiversity in different ecosystems and has published 650 papers in peer review journals and discovered 72 species new to science.  Tim brought this practical experience of quantifying biodiversity to help develop the Wallacea Trust biodiversity credit methodology which is open source and is being used by numerous organizations around the world.  Tim is CEO of rePLANET, an organization that is funding the restoration of ecosystems around the world using carbon and biodiversity credit income and which also ensures that at least 60% of the income generated benefits local stakeholders.

Christopher Davis

Christopher Davis joined The Body Shop in 2003 and worked with company founder Dame Anita Roddick. Today he is responsible for the company’s sustainability and activism strategy and overseeing corporate communications. Previously, Christopher worked on Ralph Lauren’s Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign and was a Director of MTV’s Staying Alive Foundation.

Diana Denk

Diana is the Chief Executive Director of Fair Carbon, a Swiss nonprofit working to protect and restore the world’s marine and coastal ecosystems. Fair Carbon envisions a world, where a high-integrity carbon and nature market is booming, and is an integral part of the global economy. Previously Diana led the Climate & Nature platform at KOIS, a global impact investment advisory firm, designing and structuring innovative finance instruments that help regenerate the Earth. She has been building on her background in management consulting, having worked at SYSTEMIQ, an environmental think-and-do tank, and Bain & Company, a strategy consultancy, advising clients from the corporate, nonprofit and public sectors. Diana has worked on three continents, Europe, the Americas and South-East Asia. She holds a Masters in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from INSEAD. Deeply passionate about nature, outside of work, she is most likely to be found in the mountains or by the ocean.

Gina Domanig

Gina Domanig is the CEO and Managing Partner of Emerald Technology Ventures. In 2000 she founded the business as the first independent cleantech venture capital fund in Europe.

In addition to Emerald activities, Gina serves on the board of directors of Die Mobiliar and the Basel Agency for Sustainable Energy (BASE) Foundation. She serves on the advisory boards of the Danish Innovation Fund, as well as the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on Food and Water Security and is the co-chair of innovation at the World Energy Council.

Featured in Forbes 50 over 50, Gina has over 30 years of international business experience including banking, M&A, strategic development, and venture capital.

Mafalda Duarte

Mafalda Duarte is the Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund, the world’s largest multilateral climate fund, since August 1, 2023. For decades, Mafalda has challenged business as usual to drive innovative and pioneering development and climate-responsive investments globally. Before her current role, Mafalda was CEO of the Climate Investment Funds, where she steered a multibillion-dollar portfolio of investments pushing the frontiers of clean energy, sustainable land management, and resilience across more than 70 middle and low-income countries. Originally from Portugal, Mafalda is a proud mother to three daughters and a champion of social inclusion and equity. She decided to focus her international development career on climate action after witnessing climate impacts in countries in Africa and learning about climate science.

Barbara Dubach

Barbara Dubach has been passionate about sustainability for more than 30 years and has gained longstanding, international experience and expertise in the industry, public and non-profit sector. She sits on the board of several organizations including Holzheizkraftwerk Aubrugg, Pusch, Swiss Peace, Swisscleantech, and the council for sustainable investments at the Alternative Bank Switzerland. Her business experience includes many years as Senior Vice President responsible for sustainable development coordination at Holcim (former LafargeHolcim) in various countries in the world, a secondment to the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) as Director Communication and Advocacy as well as working as environmental economist for the Federal Office of Environment in Switzerland.

Kirsten Dunlop

Dr Kirsten Dunlop is the CEO if Climate-KIC in 2017.  Her career spans academia, consulting, banking, insurance, strategy, design, innovation and leadership, across three continents, with pioneering work in strategic risk, business model transformation and leadership.  Her vision for EIT Climate-KIC is to offer a capability in systems transformation, resilience and regeneration through innovation.

Liza Engel

Liza Engel is the Chief Sustainability Officer for Deloitte Switzerland and as a member of the Swiss Executive team she is a managing partner of the Swiss firm. Liza is responsible for the sustainable strategic direction providing cross-business leadership to make an impact that matters and drive critical changes around some of the most important challenges organisations face today and in the future.

She previously held the role of Chief People Officer for Deloitte Switzerland leading our people and purpose organisation through an agile transformation. She has over 20 years of experience in transformation strategy with expertise in organisational effectiveness, digital transformation, and experience design.

Liza is passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion and improving the communities in which we serve and is active a volunteer in the community with a focus on empowering our future leaders. Dan Esty

Dan Esty is the Hillhouse Professor at Yale University with primary appointments in the Law and Environment Schools – and secondary appointments in the Management and Global Affairs Schools. He also serves as director of the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy (www.yale.edu/envirocenter) and as co-director of the Yale Initiative on Sustainable Finance. Professor Esty has written or edited fourteen books (including the prizewinning volumes Green to Gold and A Better Planet) and dozens of articles on climate change, environmental protection, regulatory reform, and sustainability -- and their connections to corporate strategy, competitiveness, sustainability metrics, and trade.  He had a number of leadership roles at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from 1989 - 93 including service on the U.S. delegation that negotiated the 1992 Framework Convention on Climate Change. From 2011- 14, he served as Commissioner of Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. He recently concluded two years of public leave from Yale – during which time he worked at the World Trade Organization helping WTO Director General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala develop a sustainability strategy for the global trading system. He co-leads the Remaking Trade for a Sustainable Future Project and with a network of thoughtleaders around the world developed the Villars Framework for a Sustainable Trade System.

David Even

David Even is the Founder of Primal Soles - Planet's first circular shoe insoles and hotel slippers made from naturally regenerative, endlessly recyclable and CO2 negative Portuguese cork. A graduate of the SDA Bocconi MBA program, he is the 2023 Financial Times winner of the best student-led project with an impact on society and the environment. 

He is currently a Senior Board Member of the SDA Bocconi Entrepreneurship Club where he is a frequent speaker, among other events. Primal's mission is to reduce one million synthetic pieces of footwear from landfill waste by replacing them with fully circular Primal Soles. Nevertheless, in understanding of this noble yet limited nature-positive effect, their vision is to inspire other aspiring entrepreneurs to take that crucial first step towards changing the world for the better. Marina Feffer Oelsner

Marina Feffer Oelsner is the Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of Generation Pledge.

Marina's priorities have always been human development and social impact. After beginning her career as a psychologist with homeless people, in prisons and in orphanages, Marina began working in a Brazilian multinational company learning about the impact that can be achieved through corporate social responsibility. Marina is part of the 4th generation in a UHNW family business and has a special interest in social impact. Richard Fields

Richard Field is a Professor of Biodiversity Science at the University of Nottingham, with 25 years of research and teaching on understanding biodiversity patterns of both plants and animals around the world, including around 100 peer reviewed journal articles on this theme. This requires high-level knowledge of measuring plant and animal biodiversity. He is Editor-in-Chief of the leading journal in macroecology, which focuses primarily on understanding biodiversity, its measurement, change, correlates and drivers. In that role, he assesses hundreds of new papers in this subject area every year, each time learning more about the diversity of plants, animals and other groups such as fungi and bacteria.

For the last two years he has been applying this expertise to developing and assessing methodologies to support the emerging market in biodiversity credits. This spans terrestrial, freshwater and marine systems. As part of this endeavour, he co-lead UK research council-funded projects totalling around £5 million. This work includes a strong focus on restoration and implements innovative assessment methods including remote sensing, eDNA, ecological acoustics, hyperspectral imagery and artificial intelligence.

Nollaig Forrest

Nollaig Forrest is Chief Sustainability Officer, and was appointed as a member of the Group Executive Committee in September 2023. She joined Holcim in 2020 as Group Head of Corporate Affairs, in charge of Investor Relations, Group Communications, Public Affairs & Branding.

Since joining Holcim, Nollaig has played an instrumental role in Holcim’s net-zero transition, partnering with strategic influencers across the value chain, from architects and public authorities to media and employees, to decarbonize building at scale.

Prior to Holcim, Nollaig served as Vice President Corporate Communications at Firmenich and held leading Public Affairs roles at Dow, DuPont and the World Economic Forum with a consistent focus on driving business as a force for good.

Nicolas Freudiger, co-founder and CEO of ID Genève Watches. Till Fust

Till Fust is the Head of Finance of Solarify and a board ember at StarragTornos. He has been working with Solarify in the Swiss solar industry since his graduation from the Graduate Institute Geneva. Adrien Geiger

Adrien Geiger developed his analytical mind, rigour and perseverance during his participation in high-level sports and his engineering studies. 

In 2014, he was drawn into the family business adventure and joined L’OCCITANE en Provence. In 2017, he became Chief Growth Officer and the following year Global Brand Director. Since then, he has been in charge of the international strategy of the L’OCCITANE en Provence brand. He readily admits that the company's entrepreneurial culture and the majority shareholder position held by his father give him more leeway to take risks and implement actions to achieve a more sustainable growth, beneficial to nature and society. This driving position for sustainability in the Group’s business strategy has been reflected in his role as Group Sustainability Officer since February 2020. Spearheading regenerative agriculture, he actively promotes projects to protect natural ecosystems, alongside the Group’s 10,000 employees and partner producers, and also with committed players such as the business coalition One Planet Business For Biodiversity (OP2B). He is convinced that, through education and humility, touching the hearts of men and women is still the best way to change the world.

Tony Goldner

Tony is the CEO of  Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). For over two decades, Tony has worked at the intersection of finance, sustainable development and diplomacy. 

Prior to joining the TNFD in September 2021, Tony was an adviser to government, financial sector and philanthropic leaders on a range of sustainable development challenges, including as a Senior Adviser with the World Bank Group.  As a Partner at the strategy consultancy Monitor Deloitte, Tony led the development of national reform strategies at both a country and city level and advised government leaders on the design of governance arrangements and performance management frameworks for mobilizing strategic investment capital and delivery of policy outcomes aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

Earlier in his career, Tony worked in infrastructure development and corporate finance in Australia and began his career in the Australian foreign service including a diplomatic posting in East Africa as a representative to UNEP and UN Habitat.

Mark Gough

Mark Gough is the CEO of the Capitals Coalition, a global collaboration of business, governments and civil society that is transforming the way that decisions are made by including the value provided by nature and people.  Previously, Mark led the Natural Capital Coalition and was on the board of the Social and Human Capital Coalition. Sylvie Goulard

Sylvie Goulard is the Co-Chair of the International Advisory Panel on Biodiversity Credits and Professor of Practice in Global affairs and Geopolitics at SDA Bocconi School of Management since October 2023. She served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2017 for the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats group, as Ministery of the Armed Forces of the French Government and as Vice Governor of the Banque de France from 2018 to 2022. She was a member of the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee and chaired the inter-parliamentary group for the fight against poverty, which aimed to give a voice to disadvantaged people within the European institutions. 

Having graduated from Sciences Po and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA), she studied law. During her time at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she particularly dealt with issues related to European integration and Germany. She also worked at the Conseil d'Etat. From 2001 to 2004, she was the political advisor to Romano Prodi, who was the President of the European Commission at that time. Her book "L’Europe pour les Nuls" (First, 2007) won the European Book Prize. She has written other books, including "La Democrazia in Europa" (Flammarion, Rizzoli 2012), co-authored with Mario Monti, and "Goodbye Europe" (Flammarion, 2016) on Brexit. She was awarded with the Chevalier de l’ordre national du mérite français (2008) and the Verdienstkreuz am Bande, Germany (2014).

Katell Le Goulven

Katell Le Goulven joined INSEAD in April 2018 as the founding Executive Director of the Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society. Previously with UNICEF, she founded a Policy Planning unit to analyze global trends and emerging issues and inform UNICEF’s strategic positioning, and led UNICEF’s corporate engagement with International Financial Institutions. Paul Griffiths

Paul Griffiths is CEO of Dubai Airports, with responsibility for the operation and development of Dubai International (DXB), as well as Dubai World Central (DWC). 

Under Paul’s leadership, Dubai Airports successfully managed through the Covid-19 crisis – acknowledged by the world’s aviation and airline industry as a challenge unprecedented in history and became one of the first airports to welcome back international tourists. He led the teams at DXB and DWC to support a massive repatriation operation in close coordination with diplomatic missions, UAE authorities, airlines, and other service partners to help nearly half a million people get back to their homes during the first global lockdown in 2020. 

Prior to moving to Dubai, Paul was Managing Director of London’s Gatwick Airport. Before joining airport operator BAA in 2004, he spent 14 years with the Virgin Group, working closely with Sir Richard Branson as a Board Director of the Virgin Travel Group, responsible for the commercial activities of both Virgin Atlantic Airways and Virgin Trains.

Gerbrand Haverkamp

Gerbrand Haverkamp is the Executive Director of World Benchmarking Alliance, a non-profit bringing together investors, NGOs, business platforms, governments and existing disclosure standards to develop free and publicly available benchmarks, that rank companies on their contribution to the SDGs. As a co-founder of WBA and in his role as Executive Director, Gerbrand is responsible for delivering WBA’s strategy. Gerbrand originally founded and led Index Initiative, one of WBA’s founding partners, where he led the global consultation on WBA. Prior to this, Gerbrand worked for the Dutch Government in the areas of inclusive business, sustainable agricultural supply chains and food security.

Tanja Havmann

Tanja is the co-founder of Clamondial, which creates value by proactively designing and implementing investment solutions within the natural resource management sectors. Clarmondial works with leading investors and companies on topics including climate finance and regenerative agriculture. Tanja also serves as a director on the Food Securities Fund, a fund to finance accountability in agricultural value chains in emerging and developing markets, which Clarmondial designed and implements. The Food Securities Fund has successfully deployed capital from investors including the Global Environment Facility and ASN Impact Investors towards a variety of agricultural value chains. Tanja also supports Clarmondial’s efforts to develop the Biosphere Integrity Fund, a new fund to support the transition to regenerative value chains and sourcing landscapes in emerging and developing markets, which is designed with support from USAID and in collaboration with Rainforest Alliance, Conservation International and CDP. Prior to establishing Clarmondial, Tanja worked with green and carbon finance, including with Climate Change Capital, the World Bank Group, UN Food & Agriculture Organization, IFAD and private companies and investors. Tanja has a background in environmental sciences, environmental economics and environmental law & policy and was born and raised in Tanzania and Kenya. In addition to her work with Clarmondial, Tanja serves as a director with Heifer International, Technical Advisory Group member of the Science Based Targets initiative, and advisor to Cartier for Nature.

Previously Max assisted the team implementing Associated British Foods (ABF) first ever ESG focused investor briefing while working on ABF’s response to the TCFD and CDP frameworks, specifically focusing on Primark’s successful sustainable cotton initiative, Cotton Connect. Andre is Vice-Chairman of Roche & Co-Founder of InTent.  He is a businessman and environmentalist. He firmly believes in business as a force for good and is a passionate advocate for the corporate pursuit of societal purpose and sustainability. André is Vice Chairman of Roche Holding AG, a highly innovative pharmaceutical company established by his great-grandfather in 1896. He also serves on the board of the fully-owned subsidiary, Genentech Inc.

He initiated and incubated the TransCap Initiative when he was the Director of Capital and Investments at EIT Climate-KIC, Europe’s largest climate innovation initiative, where he was responsible for building the organization’s nascent investment function. Before joining EIT Climate-KIC in 2015, Dominic had worked as an entrepreneur at the renewable energy start-up Electrochaea, as a private equity investor at Hudson Clean Energy Partners, and as a finance professional in the institutional asset management division of Credit Suisse. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an MSc from the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford.

Ronald Hovsepian

Ron Hovsepian has been serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Indigo Ag since 2020 and a member of the board since 2019. The company’s core biological and digital products integrate across the supply chain to optimize how the world’s essential crops are produced and sourced. Founded in 2013 with a mission to harness nature to help farmers sustainably feed the planet, Indigo is an independent and trusted sustainability solutions partner to stakeholders across the agricultural ecosystem, working to unlock benefits for all. Ron also continues to serve as an executive partner at Flagship Pioneering, the founding company of Indigo.

Prior to joining Flagship in 2018, Ron served six years as president and chief executive officer of Intralinks, Inc., and six preceding years as president and chief executive officer of Novell, Inc. Ron also spent several years in venture capital and started his career at IBM serving in several executive positions over approximately a 16-year period.

Ron is currently chair of the ANSYS board of directors, appointed in 2014, and has served as a member of the board since 2012. Ron has also been serving as chair of the board of Valo Health since 2019 and as board member of Skillsoft since 2018. His previous board experience also includes Pegasystems, ECi Solutions, and ANN Inc. (Ann Taylor), where he served ten years as executive chairman of ANN’s board of directors. Naoko Ishii

Dr Naoko Ishii is a professor and executive Vice President at the University of Tokyo, where she is also the inaugural Director for the Center for Global Commons, whose mission is to catalyse systems change so that humans can achieve sustainable development within planetary boundaries. Under her direction, the Center for Global Commons has been collaborating with reputable international research institutions in the area of sustainability, and launching projects with Japanese businesses focusing on energy transition, food systems, and circular economies.   

Before joining the university in 2020, Dr Ishii served as CEO and Chairperson at the Global Environment Facility (GEF). During her tenure, from 2012 to 2020, she formed GEF’s first mid-term strategy, GEF 2020, focusing on the transformation of key economic systems and collaborating with multi-stakeholder coalitions.  

Dr Ishii entered Japan’s Ministry of Finance in 1981, working mostly in international finance and taxation. She has also worked for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as an economist for Kenya, Uganda, and Kyrgyz Republic and for the World Bank Group as country director for Sri Lanka and the Maldives. She served as Deputy Vice Minister of Finance from 2010-2012.

Andrew Jack

Andrew Jack is global education editor at the Financial Times, overseeing its education coverage including its business education covering and rankings, and the free schools access programme. He has a particular interest in sustainability. He has been a journalist at the FT since 1990, including as Paris correspondent, Moscow bureau chief, pharmaceuticals correspondent and head of curation. He is author of the books  Inside Putin's Russia and The French Exception. He received an MA (Hons) from St Catharine's College, Cambridge, was the Joseph Hodges Choate Memorial Fellow at Harvard, and a Visiting Fellow at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford.

Ellen Jackowski

Ellen Jackowski is Chief Sustainability Officer at Mastercard, where she is spearheading the integration of the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy into the organisation.

As part of this work, she is driving climate leadership for Mastercard-wide programs and commitments, such as reaching net-zero emissions by 2040, and helping accelerate the company’s impact in climate action initiatives like Priceless Planet Coalition. Mastercard’s ESG efforts, established more than a decade ago, are rooted in a belief of doing well by doing good in order to have true impact and enable both people and the planet to thrive.

Previously, Ellen served as Chief Impact Officer and Head of Sustainable Impact at HP. Her global team developed and delivered a wide range of programs focused on climate action, human rights and digital equity. Earlier in her career, she served in several management and consulting roles.

Leslie Johnston

Annelie Karlsson

Annelie is the executive director and founding member of FBN Sweden, founded in 1996. She has been a member of the FBN International since 1993, serving in various positions. As of 2017, she is an affiliate faculty member of the Family Enterprise Center at Kellogg School of Management, Chicago USA. As an advisor she works with families in Europe, USA, Asia and the Middle East focusing on processes for developing shared owner visions in larger family systems, corporate and family governance, succession and education programs for the next generation. Akanksha Khatri

Akanksha Khatri is Head of Nature Action Agenda at the World Economic Forum. In this role she has led the New Nature Economy Reports Series, advocating how to integrate the issue of nature and biodiversity in economic decision making. Prior to this, she worked as Lead on Government Engagement for India and South Asia followed by an extended remit as Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy and Performance for the Forum’s Regional and Government Engagement globally. She has also had experience working at HT Media Ltd. which is the second-largest media company in India. She holds a BA (Hons.) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India and M.A. in International Affairs from Columbia University, USA. Marco Lambertini

Marco Lambertini is the Convener of the Nature Positive Initiative. He was WWF International Director General (2014-2022) and Special Envoy (2023). Before joining WWF he was Global Director of Network and Programme and subsequently CEO of BirdLIfe International. 

Marco’s experience and career ranges from ecological field research to high level advocacy and international policy, nature reserve management, integrated conservation and development projects, environmental education, NGO development, communications and campaigning, in many countries all over the world.

Aileen Lee

Aileen is the chief of programs for the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation. She oversees all grantmaking activity, including all program allocations and Adaptive Management and Evaluation. Aileen’s previous roles at the foundation include leading the Environmental Conservation Program, as well as developing and leading the Wild Salmon Ecosystems and the Conservation and Markets initiatives.

Prior to joining the foundation, Aileen was an associate principal at McKinsey & Company, where she led client engagements in strategy, operations and organizational effectiveness across a wide range of sectors. She currently serves on the boards of the Climate and Land Use Alliance, iNaturalist, Legacy Landscapes Fund, and Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership. Chris Luebkeman

Chris Luebkeman has been leader of the Strategic Foresight Hub in the Office of the President at ETH Zurich since 2020, where he and his team are working on understanding the future of higher education, encouraging the role of foresight in an academic setting and developing closer ties within the Swiss Foresight community. His multidisciplinary education includes degrees in Geology and Civil Engineering (Vanderbilt), Structural Engineering (Cornell), and a Doctorate in Architecture (ETH). He became an academic gypsy teaching courses on Design and on Technology at ETH Zurich, the University of Oregon, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and at the MIT. Dame Ellen MacArthur

Dame Ellen MacArthur made yachting history in 2005, when she became the fastest solo sailor to circumnavigate the globe. She remains the UK’s most successful offshore racer ever, having won the Ostar, the Route du Rhum, and finished second in the Vendée Globe. She received the French Legion of Honour from President Nicolas Sarkozy in 2008, three years after having been knighted by HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Having become acutely aware of the finite nature of the resources on which our linear economy relies, she retired from professional sailing to launch the Ellen MacArthur Foundation in 2010. The Foundation works to accelerate the transition to a circular economy, and has helped establish the subject on the agenda of decision-makers around the world. Since the publication of its first economic report in 2012, the Foundation has launched global initiatives on plastics, fashion, and food, developed innovation networks with educators, businesses, and governments, and released more than 20 reports and books. Dame Ellen is a World Economic Forum Global Agenda Trustee for Environment and Natural Resource Security, and she sat on the European Commission’s Resource Efficiency Platform between 2012 and 2014.

Lydia Maher

Lydia Maher is a data scientist and climate tech entrepreneur. She has 7+ years experience using data to solve impactful problems and 3+ years in climateTech. She most recently co-founded Critical Loop, a battery sharing service looking to improve industrial grid balancing and bring more renewable power online. Prior to that, she worked at Palantir, leading enterprise software deployments to transform operations for large multi-nationals through data and technology. She has also served as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Deep Science Ventures, leading natural catastrophe research and venture creation, and worked as a bioinformatician at Cancer Research UK. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where she received degrees both in History and Statistics.

Lynda Mansson

Lynda is the founder of LeaderLy Sàrl, established together with André Hoffmann with the aim of helping to achieve the SDGs by coaching, training and inspiring mission-driven leaders.

Before founding LeaderLy, Lynda was the CEO of the MAVA Foundation, a family philanthropic foundation working on nature conservation and sustainable economy. For 13 years, she led a team of 20 people to grant over € 1.17 billion to over 500 organisations to support work in favor of nature and people. 

Previously, Lynda held various leadership positions at WWF International in Switzerland, also for 13 years. This included roles as Director of Global Operations, Director of Network Performance, and Director of Learning and Development.

Hon Marape was nominated, elected, and sworn in as the 8th Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea by the National Parliament on 30 May 2019. Eva McLellan

Eva McLellan  is a global healthcare executive, known as a forward-thinking strategist and purpose-driven transformational leader. Peter Messerli

Peter Messerli is a professor for sustainable development and the director of the Wyss Academy for Nature at the University of Bern, Switzerland. Elizabeth Mrema

Ms. Elizabeth Maruma Mrema is Assistant Secretary-General and Deputy Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) since 15 February 2023. She is also the co-chair of the Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures. Prior to these roles, Ms. Mrema served as the Executive Secretary of the Secretariat for the Convention on Biological Diversity starting in June 2020, having previously served in an acting capacity in the role since December 2019. Prior to that, Ms. Mrema served in various capacities in her two decades at UNEP, including as the Director of the Law Division and the Deputy Director of the Ecosystems Division. From 2009 to 2012, she served as the Executive Secretary of the Secretariat for the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals as well as served as the Acting Executive Secretary of the UNEP/ASCOBANS (Agreement on the Conservation of Small Cetaceans of the Baltic, North East Atlantic, Irish and North Seas) as well as Interim Executive Secretary of the UNEP/Gorilla Agreement, all based in Bonn, Germany. Before joining UNEP, she worked with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania and left as a Counsellor/Senior Legal Counsel.

Sergio Mujica

Sergio Mujica joined ISO as Secretary-General in July 2017, having spent 7 years at the World Custom’s Organization (WCO) as Deputy Secretary-General. The WCO aims to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Custom’s administrations worldwide, and within this role Mr Mujica was responsible for the design and implementation of the WCO’s strategic plan. This included simplification, harmonisation and standardisation of customs’ procedures in addition to capacity building initiatives aimed at the WCO members. This gave him significant experience in an international setting, building consensus within a large membership-based organisation.

Prior to working at the World Customs Organization, Mr Mujica spent 15 years working for the Government of Chile with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and as the Director General of Chile Customs. A Chilean national, he has a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile and a Master’s degree in International Law from the American University in Washington DC.

Esther Netshivhongweni

Esther is currently the Co-Chair of the International Advisory Panel on Biodiversity Credits Alliance. She is a traditional leader (a Chief) and a conservation activist who is a known active woman defending women position in the conservation space. Esther served as a member of the High Level Panel of Experts which advised the South African Minister of Fisheries, Forestry and Environment (DFFE) on the review of policies and legislation and practices on the matters of elephants, lion, leopards and rhinoceros – management, hunting, breeding, trade and handling. She is a founder of Mooiberg Bush Centre, an eco-tourism centre in the Pafuri area of the Kruger National of South Africa. She was the Chairperson of Limpopo People and Parks between 2017 to 2021 which is a South African National Community forum representing the interests of communities in the conservation sector. She served as a Director in Professional Hunters Association of South Africa (PHASA) in their Empowerment and Transformation Fund. Esther has been recognised as one of the four women in Africa who is breaking the glass ceilings in the field of wildlife and environment conservation by the Women in Leadership in Partnership with International Renaissance Centre.

Jonathan Normand

Expert in societal innovation and governance, Jonathan Normand spent more than 12 years in international financial institutions before creating the consulting firm Codethic in 2009. Specialist in improving global performance and sustainable growth, he is passionate about the evolution of the economy and studies its trends and disruptions. In 2014, he participated in the launch of B Lab in Europe, which is responsible for rolling out the B Corp movement. He founded and has been leading B Lab Switzerland since 2017, a non-profit organisation promoting socio-environmental impact measurement tools as well as the B Corp certification. He is also the designer of the Swiss Triple Impact engagement program and contributes to academic research for an inclusive, circular and regenerative economy.

Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli is an expert on food ecosystems, entrepreneurship, social innovation, and philanthropy. United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Sanda Ojiambo of Kenya as Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations Global Compact in April 2022. For the past two years, Sanda Ojiambo served as the CEO & Executive Director of the UN Global Compact.

As the world grappled with the COVID-19 pandemic, Sanda Ojiambo launched an ambitious new UN Global Compact Strategy to accelerate and scale the global collective impact of business by upholding the Ten Principles and delivering the Sustainable Development Goals through accountable companies and ecosystems that enable change.

Maria Paolo Chiesi

Maria Paola Chiesi is the Vice Chair and Shared Value & Sustainability Director of Chiesi Farmaceutici. 

Since 2010, Maria Paola is responsible, first as coordinator and from 2021 as President, for Chiesi Foundation, a non-profit organization, expression of Chiesi corporate social responsibility, devoted to research and international cooperation projects in the domain of respiratory medicine and neonatology. The main focus of the Foundation is to promote the access to quality neonatal essential care in West Africa.

Kunaal Patawari

Kunaal Patawari is a London-based circular economy investor whose vision is “a consumer-driven circular economy for a sustainable world”. He created the tyre recycling business at Patawari Family Holdings, which now collects and ensures the resource recovery of every 6th tyre in the world. Kunaal represents Gemini as a board member at the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, the World Economic Forum, and is a Task Force Chairperson as part of King Charles’ Sustainable Markets Initiative, among others. He Is also an advisory board member of California-based venture capital firm, Regeneration.VC, alongside Leonardo Di Caprio. Kunaal is now developing an investment pipeline of $20 billion beginning with the existing trusted pool of 4,000 stakeholders on Gemini’s platform.

He also leads his family’s philanthropic initiatives in their 12 adopted villages for their medical, educational, and waste management needs. Felipe Paullier

Dr. Felipe Paullier serves as the United Nations’s first Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, working to promote the engagement and advocacy for the advancement of youth issues across the United Nations. Previously, he was the Director General of the National Youth Institute of Uruguay, a position he held from 2020-2023. Prior to this role, he served in various political management positions, including as Deputy Mayor in the Municipality of the CH jurisdiction of Montevideo (2015-2020) and Alternate Counsellor in the Montevideo Departmental Legislative Court (2010-2015). David Pitt-Watson

David Pitt-Watson is a leading thinker and practitioner in the field of responsible investment.

He was co-founder, and CEO of Hermes Focus Funds and Equity Ownership Service, the largest responsible investment group of any institutional fund manager in the world.

He was Visiting Pembroke Professor, and now a Fellow at the Judge Business School in Cambridge University. There he teaches an award-winning course entitled “The Purpose of Finance”. It explores the circumstances which allow an effective financial system to operate, and the limitations of current approaches to the study of finance in delivering that outcome.  His books have been translated into five languages. 

Amongst his many other roles, he was an independent non-executive at KPMG, Treasurer of Oxfam and chaired the UN Environment Finance Initiative in the run-up to the Paris climate conference.

Ms Poman Lo is the Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Century City International Holdings Limited and the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Regal Hotels International Holdings Limited. She is the Founding Managing Partner of AlphaTrio Capital, an Asia-focused sustainable technology fund empowering the next wave of green tech unicorns to provide disruptive solutions for the world’s most pressing environmental challenges.

Poman serves as an Adjunct Professor teaching sustainable business management and impact investing at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She founded the non-profit Institute of Sustainability and Technology with a mission to nurture the next generation of ESG talent through executive education and advance the sustainability agenda through interdisciplinary research and international conferences. Poman has been appointed as a Council Member of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Member of Chief Executive’s Policy Unit Expert Group.

To foster holistic well-being and positive values in children and youths, Poman established Bodhi Love Foundation to provide mindfulness-based training to educators and parents through its SEED (social emotional ethical development) program.

She is the only person in Hong Kong history to receive both the “Outstanding Young Person of the World Award” and the “Hong Kong Outstanding Students Award”. She is also the first and only female Asian recipient of the “Oslo Business for Peace Award” by the Business for Peace Foundation in Norway, selected by an independent committee of Nobel Prize Laureates in Peace and Economics.

Puwe Puyanawa

Puwe has played an important role in driving the tribe’s process of rebirth. As President of the
Association of the Community he dedicated more than 30 years to rescuing and preserving the
Amazon and Indigenous cultures and spiritual traditions. He has been working intensely with sacred
medicines since 16 years. He has a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, and is a teacher at the
Ixubay Rabui Puyanawa School. In 2013, he began to travel to Europe with his mentor Benki Pyãnko,
sharing knowledge of the history of their community. At the UNESCO Indigenous Peoples and Climate
Change conference in Paris in 2015. He is a Semifinalist of the X-PRIZE Rainforest and keynote
speaker at the Science Summit at the United Nations during the General Assembly in New York York.

Mamphela Ramphele

Dr Mamphela Ramphele is co-founder of ReimagineSA and the Chair of the Tutu IP Trust. She was co-president of the Club of Rome between 2018 and 2023. She is a change agent rooted in the Black Consciousness philosophy that enabled many young people in the 1970s to self-liberate from the inferiority complex imposed by racist oppression and inspired the revival of the liberation struggle that ushered in political freedom in 1994. She is a medical doctor (MBChB), a social anthropologist (PhD), an accomplished researcher and a co-author with Francis Wilson, of Uprooting Poverty: The SA Challenge.  Her research on the psycho-social impacts of poverty and inequality led to the publication of six books: A Bed Called Home- Life in Migrant Worker Hostels; Steering by the Stars – Growing up in Townships; Laying Ghosts to Rest – the Legacy of Race, Class and Gender in SA; A Passion for Freedom – Autobiography; Dreams, Betrayal and Hope.

Johan Rockström

Johan Rockström is Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and Professor in Earth System Science at the University of Potsdam. He is an internationally recognized scientist on global sustainability issues and led the development of the Planetary Boundaries framework for human development in the current era of rapid global change. Professor Rockström is a leading scientist on global water resources, with more than 25 years experience in applied water research in tropical regions, and more than 150 research publications in fields ranging from applied land and water management to global sustainability. Martin Schaefer

Severin Schwan

Severin Schwan was born in 1967 and grew up in Tyrol, Austria. After obtaining a degree in economics and a doctorate in law at the University of Innsbruck, Severin began his career in 1993 as a finance trainee at Roche headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. Following various management postings to Belgium, Germany and Switzerland, he moved to Singapore as regional head of the Roche Diagnostics business for Asia-Pacific in 2004. In 2006 Severin became CEO of Roche Diagnostics, the Roche Group’s global diagnostics business.

In 2008 Severin was appointed CEO of the Roche Group and became a member of the Roche Board in 2013. After serving as CEO for 15 years, he has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting in March 2023. Severin holds Austrian, German and Swiss citizenships.

Paul Shrivastava

Paul Shrivastava, is Co-President of The Club of Rome and a visionary leader in the field of management and sustainability. Formerly he was Chief Sustainability Officer at The Pennsylvania State University and is currently Professor of Management and Organisations. He was the Executive Director of Future Earth, where he established its secretariat for global environmental change programs.

He served as David O’Brien Distinguished Professor of Sustainable Enterprise at Concordia University, Montreal. He founded the International Chair for Arts and Sustainable Enterprise at ICN Business School, Nancy, France. Shrivastava founded several private companies and non-profit organisations, and the ONE Division of the Academy of Management.

He received his Ph. D. from the University of Pittsburgh. He has published 17 books and over 100 articles in scholarly journals on sustainable management and crisis management.

Mirjiam Staub-Bisang

Mirjam Staub-Bisang is CEO of BlackRock Switzerland, member of the EMEA Executive Committee and Senior Advisor to BlackRock Sustainable Investing. In addition, she serves on the board of the Swiss Sustainable Finance, the Swiss Asset Management Association and the global shoe retailer Bata. 

Prior to BlackRock, Mirjam served as chair of a Swiss multi-employer pension fund Profond and led Independent Capital Group Ltd, an investment management firm and multi-family office based in Zurich which she co-founded. Mirjam also served as a non-executive director on the boards of several public and private companies as well as chair and member of the investment committees of several institutional asset owners. Prior to these roles she held senior positions in asset management and private equity at Commerzbank, Swiss Life, Quadrant and advised corporate clients as an investment banker and lawyer at Merrill Lynch in London and Zurich.

Daniela Stoffel

Daniela Stoffel took up her role as State Secretary for International Finance at the Federal Department of Finance (FDF) on 1 March 2019.

In 1998, Daniela Stoffel entered the diplomatic service of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). In 2005, she took over as Head of Public Relations and Culture at the Swiss Embassy in Washington D.C. and in August 2009 she moved to the Swiss Embassy in Berlin as Head of Economic and Financial Affairs. There she was appointed Deputy Head of Mission in 2012. In 2015, Daniela Stoffel assumed a staff function in the General Secretariat of the OECD in Paris.

From 2015, Daniela Stoffel was on detachment to SIF with the title of Ambassador, latterly as Head of Political Staff. From 2016, she was also the Diplomatic Advisor to the Head of the Federal Department of Finance (FDF). Nick Studer

Nick Studer is the president and CEO of Oliver Wyman, and Vice Chair of Marsh McLennan. He has supported chief executives and senior business leaders on topics spanning governance, strategy, sustainability, risk management, public policy & regulatory response. 

Nick has worked extensively on industry and public policy initiatives. He has supported the FSB, IIF and the World Economic Forum; he was a founding Director of TheCityUK, a founding member of the FICC Markets Standards Board, a member of the UK’s Voluntary Carbon Markets Steering Committee and is Interim Chair of the Sustainable Markets Initiative Energy Transition Task Force.

He is a keen advocate of inclusion and a sponsor of diversity – he leads his firm’s inclusion and belonging strategy and has been twice named a Top 20 advocate by INvolve/EMpower.

Anna Stünzi

Dr. Anna Stünzi is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at the University of St.Gallen. Her research centers around the green transformation of the economy. She explores the role of finance and policy to transform and develop new business and behaviors aligned with climate and wider sustainability goals. One important part of her research analyzes international climate finance flows to support developing countries in building resilient and sustainable economic systems. 

Anna has a background in psychology and economics and she received her doctorate at the Center of Economic Research at ETH Zurich. In the past 10 years she has been very engaged in translating scientific findings and recommendations to policymakers, in particular in her role as the president of the Swiss think tank foraus from 2019-2023.

Manuel Teehankee

Manuel Antonio J. Teehankee is currently the Permanent Representative of Philippine to the World Trade Organization (WTO). He was Chair of the WTO Committee on Trade and Environment sitting in Special Session (CTESS) from 2008 to October 2011. As Chair, he delivered in April 2011 his report on progress in the trade and environment negotiations, which formed part of the Easter 2011 Package. 

Concurrently, Mr Teehankee was the Ambassador and Philippine Permanent Representative to the WTO. Previously, he had chaired the regular Committee on Trade and Environment in 2007 and the Working Group on Trade and Transfer of Technology in 2005 and 2006. A lawyer by training, he has served as Under-Secretary of the Department of Justice and Government Corporate Counsel for the Philippine Government. In the private sector, Mr Teehankee has been admitted to the Bar in New York and the Philippines, and worked for Baker & McKenzie and LeBoeuf Lamb in New York, specializing in international arbitration and commercial transactions. Ibrahim Thiaw

Ibrahim Thiaw is Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) since February2019. 

Mr. Thiaw brings to the position 40 years of experience in sustainable development, environmental governance and natural resource management. In 2018, he was Special Adviser to the Secretary-General for the Sahel and supported ongoing efforts to advance the recalibration of the United Nations Integrated Strategy for the Sahel (UNISS) and the development of the UN Support Plan for the Sahel. Prior to this position, from 2013 to 2018, he served as Assistant Secretary-General and Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), where he played a keyrole in shaping the organization's strategic vision and mandate, overseeing the development and implementation of the mid-term strategy and programme of work, and strengthening collaborations with Governments and other environmental governing bodies. 

Mr. Thiaw joined the United Nations in 2007 as Director of UNEP’s Division for Environmental Policy Implementation. Before joining the Organization, he was the Regional Director for West Africa, and later Acting Director General, of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Mr. Thiaw started his career in Mauritania, his home country, where he served in the Ministry of Rural Development for 10 years. He holds a postgraduate degree in forestry and forest product techniques.

Albert Jan Thomassen

Albert Jan Thomassen is the Executive Director of FBNed (FBN Netherlands) and a resource to enterprising families on governance and succession issues. Since 1986 Albert Jan is active in the field of family business, starting out as a family business researcher and teacher. He has become an internationally recognised family business expert, speaker and author.

He holds multiple diver roles within FBN. His key topics of expertise are Family Business Governance, Family Succession, Advocacy for family businesses, and Family Constitutions, amongst others.

Eric Usher

Eric heads the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), a global partnership bringing together the UN with a global group of banks, insurers and asset managers working to develop the sustainable finance and responsible investment agendas. Eric oversees governance, strategy and day-to-day management of UNEP FI’s work programme and global network development. Since joining in 2015, Mr. Usher has focused on accelerating the deep integration of sustainability risks into financial practice, including addressing climate change, natural capital loss and human rights abuses, as well as building out the frameworks for positive impact finance needed to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Eric sits on several industry bodies including as UN representative on the Board of the Principles for Responsible Investment, and as a member of the governing boards of the Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative, the Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance, the Investor Agenda and the impact fund REPP Africa.

Prior to leading UNEP FI, Mr. Usher has over twenty years of experience in the low carbon sectors, spanning technology commercialisation in Canada, solar rural electrification in Morocco and financial sector development across emerging markets. During 2011, Mr. Usher worked on the establishment of the Green Climate Fund and led efforts to create its Private Sector Facility. Eric has been an editor of the Global Trends in Renewable Energy Investment report published annually with Bloomberg and was lead author for finance of the IPCC Special Report on Renewable Energy Sources. Earlier in his career, Eric was General Manager of a solar rural electrification company based in Morocco.

Risto Väyrynen

Risto is founder of The Impact Office which is a coalition of single family offices working towards unlocking the private capital flows in order to achieve the SDGs.

He has co-founded several start-ups; is an avid impact investor and has held C-suite and board level positions throughout his career. Risto led the Family Business work of the World Economic Forum, where he served as the the Head of Family Business Community. Currently he acts as an Ambassador for the Family Business Network International where he is passionate advocate of Family Business Sustainability and previously led the development of the international Next Generation community as the Vice-President of Next Generation Committee.

Francisco Veloso

Francisco Veloso is the Dean of INSEAD since September 1 2023, leading the school across its full range of activities and four locations. Previously, he was the Dean of Imperial College Business School, and before that, the Dean at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics. Francisco spent the formative years of his academic career at Carnegie Mellon University, where he became a Full Professor and retains an adjunct appointment. Francisco´s research focuses on high tech innovation and entrepreneurship. He has several dozen publications in leading academic journals and has won several international awards for his academic work., including the Alfred P. Sloan Industry Studies Fellowship and the Stan Hardy award for the outstanding paper published in Operations Management. He is a dedicated educator, with thousands of hours of degree and non-degree teaching, as well as the supervision of more than ten PhD dissertations, five of which won international awards. 

Francisco regularly works as a consultant and advisor to of start-ups, established firms, universities, and government around the world. He is currently a Non-Executive Board Member at Arica Holding b.v. and Movendo Capital b.v. Francisco is an active contributor to the key international business school accreditation agencies, AACSB, EFMD and AMBA and is currently on the Global Board of Directors of the AACSB. Francisco has a PhD in Technology, Management and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as an MSc in Economics and Management of Science & Technology, and an Undergraduate Degree in Physics Engineering, both from the University of Lisbon.

Johan Westman 

Johan is the current President and CEO of AAK. Johan has held this position since 2018. Prior to that, they were the Managing Director of BlankLight NA at Shiloh Industries from 2014 to 2018. From 2009 to 2014, they were the President and CEO of FinnvedenBulten AB (publ). Johan also served as the President of Finnveden Metal Structures AB from 2006 to 2014. Westman began their career at Arthur D. Little in 1998 as a Senior Manager.

Peter Paul van der Wijs

Peter Paul is responsible for driving the adoption of the GRI Standards into rules and regulations set by (national) policy makers and capital markets around the world.

Peter Paul has over 20 years of professional experience in public policy, communications and sustainability. In addition to leading his own business, Peter Paul has held executive positions at the LEGO Foundation and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).

Earlier in his career, Peter Paul has held various international positions in communications, sustainable development, government affairs and issues management at The Dow Chemical Company, including leadership of Dow’s Global Water Strategy Team. He holds a degree in Communications from the College for Economic and Business Administration Studies in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

Eva Zabey

Simon Zadek

Dr Zadek is Chair of Finance for Biodiversity, Director of Migrant Nation, and Senior Advisor to the Task Force on Nature Related Financial Disclosure. He was Head, Secretariat, UN Secretary General’s Task Force on Digital Financing of the Sustainable Development Goals, Senior Advisor on Finance in the office of the UN Secretary General, and Co-Director of UNEP’s Finance Inquiry. He co-Chaired China’s Green Finance Task Force, and led the Green Finance Study Group secretariat under the Chinese, German and Argentinian G20 Presidencies.

Prior to this, hewas Senior Advisor to the World Economic Forum and the Global Green Growth Institute, founder and CEO of the international think tank, AccountAbility and Development Director of the New Economics Foundation.He was Visiting Professor at the Singapore Management University and the Copenhagen Business School, and has been a senior fellow at Tsinghua School of Economics and Management, Harvard`s Kennedy School of Government,and the University of Southern Africa.

He has worked with many corporations, governments and multi stakeholder initiatives on their sustainability and broader strategies, been a member of the International Advisory Board of Generation Investment Management, and has published extensively, including the award-winning book, The Civil Corporation.
